Disable workflow by project

I'd like the ability to disable workflow on a project to project basis. This allows me to conduct manual maintenance if necessary, which requires disabling workflow, without impacting other projects.

Hi!
We have following scenario which is not currently supported, but the solution proposed here might be a solution also for us: We want to control the items that we sharing with customer. We are using this by having another project in which we sync specific requirement items from our internal project. At the moment we need to manually change the workflow in both projects, because status cannot be synced. This is major issue for us because there are hundreds of items to keep in sync.
Is there a plan to progress with this request?0 -
Hello @Antti:
Appreciate your contribution here in Product Ideas. Antti, in particular your case, which would you say is the most desired? 1. to be able to disable the workflow by project or 2. the ability to sync a "workflow field".
Also, could you explain a little more about how your team is interacting and collaborating with your customer within Jama? What are the customer responsibilities/deliverables as well as yours?
Best,

Hi @Chloe
Thanks for the answer! In our scenario the preferred option is actually the 2nd one.
At the moment we provide read-only access for customer in a specific Jama project. Customers join the requirement analysis and design work by providing the needed inputs and by making the prioritization together with us. Status information is important because there are specific governance gates that need to processed together with customer, indicated by the workflow status.
Additionally, customers need to participate reviews and provide approvals via review center.
In the future we would like to allow customer also to raise new requirements for elicitation and analysis, but this is not yet in place.
I hope this clarified,

Antti:
Great information thank you, sounds like you use both this "read-only" Jama project and the Review Center to collaborate with your customer. Also sounds like your customer is very involved in your design and development process, wonderful! The Review Center creates a "read-only" space. Curious, in your particular case, what functionalities would need to be added to the Review Center so that you could concentrate all of your customer interaction within this space?
