Line Break in Description for List View

Is it possible to introduce the chance of having a line break in the description field for the list view?

Currently it is only possible to view the complete description content in reading view, however when I want to edit a field there it shows all fields.
When I go through the requirements with my customers and want to change an field I don't want them to see our internal fields. 
Currently this is only possible doing an excel roundtrip, which is additional work and looks really stupid for customers.

    We have exactly the same problem/feature need. Our users claimed also the workaround by excel, because it is very time consuming.
