Q: How can I adjust the session timeout so that we can free up our floating licenses quicker?
A: By default, session timeout is set to 2 hours for Jama. This default is by customer request as most users like to keep Jama open during the work day and not worry about timing out. The default value can easily be changed by modifying the value in the web.xml file on the server. (see below)
The best approach to maximizing license use is to ask users to "log out" rather than close their browser. This may not be effective so an alternative is to reduce the timeout value.
To modify the session timeout, go to System Properties and edit the Session Timeout property.
I've exactly the same problem as mentioned above, in my case with Chrome. It rises up after a clear of all browser data. Since then I've the problem constantly if "remember me" is checked. But in case of a hanging input mask a simple "browser reload" of the Jama page is sufficient to fix it. In my case after this reload the RTF editor is working without a new login. Maybe someone else is able to crosscheck this.
