    Hi,

We're working on a word template report and have been able to get the upstream requirements linked under each item successfully, but we are not able to get the upstream item's documentKey value, it appears that it is not a parameter of the upstream (or downstream) requirement.  Can you please confirm that this is the case?

    Using Jama Connect 8.46.0

Here's what we're using in our template file:

    «TemplateStart:TXT»
    «TableStart:HEADING»
    «documentKey» «name»
    «TableEnd:HEADING»
    «description»
    «TemplateEnd:TXT»
    «TemplateStart:FLD»
    «TableStart:HEADING»
    «name»
    «TableEnd:HEADING»
    «description»
    «TemplateEnd:FLD»
    «TemplateStart:TDS»
    «TableStart:HEADING»
    «documentKey» «name»
    «TableEnd:HEADING»
    «description»
    Requirements:
    «TableStart:UPSTREAMRELATIONSHIPS»
    «documentKey» : «name»
    «TableEnd:UPSTREAMRELATIONSHIPS»
    «TemplateEnd:TDS»

I have been able to get the projectID or the globalId but those ids do not make sense as that key isn't visible in other reports or on the site.

Hoping that this is something that I just overlooked,
    Thanks,

    Hello Yotam:

The document key is synonymous with the Project ID itself. I can see how this is confusing, hope this clears up the mystery!

    Hi Chloe,

Thanks for the response.  I'm a little confused by your answer, and maybe I wasn't clear enough on my end, so maybe some screen shots might help.  The arrow below is where I'd like the documentKey of the upstream requirement to be displayed.  It's not displaying anything when I use <<documentKey>>

What I'd like to have precede it is in the red square below.  This screenshot was taken from the list view of this item.

Please let me know if you have more questions,
    Thanks!

    Hello Yotam,
You can see in the screenshot below that Project ID is only a label for the documentKey. I configured my template the same as you did and I was able to export the documentKey from upstream relationships successfully. Could you attach the Word template you are using so I can have a look at it? Thank you.

    Hi Dana,

Please see attached, it's only minor changes from the boiler plate document.

Hopefully the error will be quick to find.

    Thanks,

    Hi Yotam,

Thank you for providing your template. I found some errors in the mail merge that usually occurs when you copy and paste. When you copy and paste mailmerge be sure to use your Default Word Template as your source to copy from. Each Jama instance has a unique Default Word Template based on the items created in each instance. You can download your Template by navigating to Export > Office Templates > Upload Template > Generate Word Template Reference Guide. I attached your template with some fixes I made. Please try it out and let me know if it works.

Here's an example of toggling the mail merge to ensure the field is correct.
