Date format

It would be very beneficial to have a pre-set unified date format in Zoom that is internationally recognizable. MM/DD/YYYY as default can lead to mis-interpretation especially in Europe.
Is there a way to set a global date format, also for Office file exports?

It is the same for me.
It would be good for me to have the possibility to set this as Org. admin
BTW, how can I change the date format ?

    Hello Alessandro and Sven:

Hope you are both well, I apologize for the delay in getting back to you both. There are two things to consider here: Do you have a Cloud instance or do you have a Self Hosted instance?

If you are Self-Hosted then you can make these changes by rooting into the Root admin panel and then configuring the Time and Date formatting in the System Properties > General Properties area. NOTE: pay attention to the "note" in the user guide I linked, there are some added instructions about matching formats.

If you are a Cloud customer then this is something which you will need to have a Named Support Contact make a ticket with Jama Software Technical Support to configure for you.

    Hello Chloe,

    better late than never …
We are trying to change the Date format to the ISO one (YYYY-MM-DD). It seems the format is allowed for both Java and Javascript.
We cannot get the desired setting (just checking the list view).
Can you please let us know:
    • if its is possible to set the ISO date Format
    • if possible, how to change the 4 settings under "general properties" in the admin panel
    Best regards,

    Hi,

So, from the Root Admin panel I changed my settings from this:

    to this:

And the UI showed the ISO date.

    Let me know!

    Chloe,

We had support do this for our hosted instance and it was not consistent. I.e version widget and office exports did not show this properly after the change. Support reverted us back for now and the ticket is still open for the product team to investigate.

    Sven:

Yes, thank you for the extra functional information. Unfortunately, this will only work for how the UI appears. The database is tied to the UTC format, so anything that pulls from the database like the API or exports will not reflect the ISO format.

Since writing the above it has been brought to my attention that this has been categorized as a defect. Here is the bug ID for anyone who is experiencing this same behavior: SOS-DEF-4383. You can use this to look up when this bug is fixed in the Release Notes in the Community.
