Project-specific seach criterium?

  • 1.  Project-specific seach criterium?

    Hi everyone,

one of our users has the request to see certain items in *many* projects and has asked if Search was able to do that. He is aware that he can search in certain project, in the current project or in all projects - but would he be able to able to search in projects A, C and E, and not in project B and D?

I wasn't able to find a solution to that use case, does anyone have an idea how this can be achieved?

    Thank you,
    Anna

    Hi,

After having posted this I became aware of the possiblity to filter search results - this brings up the possibility to select certain projects when having selected "All projects" in the filter before.
This would be a reasonable workaround, if identifing the projects in the filter itself is not possible.

You can use the ID field to filter for specific projects. Alternatively this can also be achieved by Lucene statements in keywords.

    Anna:

Yes, you found a good workaround for your use-case. Doing a Search across all projects and then Filter the results for A, B, D project; excluding C and E projects!
