    ​​I am confused with the statement seen in the online Help Guide "The Connector will not sync a pre-existing JAMA item with a pre-existing JIRA issue". JAMA contains the requirements.  JIRA contains Test Cases and eventually the User Stories. What is the process to sync items between JAMA and JIRA? Also, what is required from both sides (server name, IP address, Item types, Item Fields, etc.)?  I am looking into the "Tasktop Integration Hub" to understand the differences between legacy (we have v2015.5) and latest version.

    Hi John,

    This statement means that you can not sync issues that already exist in both tools. Here's what you can do:

    If a requirement exists in Jama, you can sync it to JIRA, which creates a copy of the requirement in JIRA.
    If there is a User Story in JIRA, you can sync it with Jama so that a copy of the User Story is in Jama. It's essentially putting work that you have in one place, in two places. There is not a way to map existing items.

    As far as what's required from both sides, if you're using the Tasktop Integration Hub, it is fully supported by Tasktop, so you would need to check with them. AFAIK you would need the server URL and you would need to know what types and fields you need/want to sync-you establish those mappings yourself.
