  • 1.  Invitation Emails from Accounts created Before Email Configuration

    Hello,
        Setting up Jama onsite for the first time and I created a bunch of accounts week or so before setting up email. The accounts no longer have an "invite" action option in the user list.

        I was wondering what I can do to send new invite emails.

    Thanks in advance for the help.

    edit: I figured out the checkbox on creating new users. Just need to bring back that invite action in the user list.

    Hi Louis,

    Thanks for the update! A couple of questions here --

    1. Are the users being invited internal users, or are they external users?
    2. Have any of the accounts being invited logged into Jama post-account setup?

    I originally created the users and did not check the box to send welcome emails. I did not have email set up so I didn't think it mattered. None of the users have logged in for the first time.

    It looks like if you do not select send welcome email to a user you never have the option after user creation.

    New users I have created where I check the box do not have the issue. I have the invite action available in the user list for those users.

    It would be great if you always had the invite action whether or not you originally click the checkbox for send welcome email.

    I told my users to use the forgot my password link as a work around.

    Thank you for the update and additional information -- so you can only invite users who were opted into being sent a welcome email when they were initially added, just to confirm?

    That is correct. It seems any users that I did not check the box to send a welcome email do not have the invite action available in the admin > Users list afterwards.

I haven't been able to replicate the behaviour you've described and would love to dig in deeper to determine the root cause -- when you have a chance, can you open a support ticket by visiting https://support.jamasoftware.com/hc/en-us/requests/new then choosing the Technical Support Request option, please? We can continue working together there.
