Equation in RTF editor: rich text editor needs to natively support equations

As our teams need to put equations to the requirements and test cases it would be good if RTF editor supports equations. Now they have to create equation in MS Word and then placed it as image to the requirement / test case.

    We, too, have dozens of equations like this in our requirements:

    Maintaining these in Word is a real chore!

    Us too! Although I can accomplish a lot using HTML manually, but I need this to export to Word!

    Eg:
    This HTML will show an equation:

    <p>c(NaOH) = <span style="display:inline-block; vertical-align:middle"><span style="display:block">a</span><span style="border-top:thin solid black; display:block">b</span></span></p>


    But this won't export.
