Limit on items returned by /tags SOAP api

The /tags API call has a restriction of a maximum of 50 items that can be returned. We use tags a lot across lots of items, and this is a problem for us. Will this restriction be removed/raised to a higher number at any point in the future.

    Does returning all items from a filter using a tag have the same restriction?

    Not saying that the limit shouldn't be raised, but this might be a viable workaround in the meantime.

    Please let me know if there is a limit on the return from a filter, as that would really affect all our automation.

    All of Jama's API requests have a maximum of 50 results returned with 20 as the default for REST. This was done for the overall health of the application. While this can feel restrictive, the configurability of the application has driven this number due to amount of unique customer configurations which may include high numbers of fields, multiple rich text fields and similar.
