Trace Matrix header should be frozen

The trace matrix has proved to be useful for confirming, adding and editing relationships between items, especially after importing from .csv or excel.  However, as soon as you scroll down, the header roll scrolls out of view.  This is a major limitation and makes it nearly unusable, save for looking at only a handful of items.  The 150 item limit is also a problem.  We have some large projects that have items of the same type in the 400's.  Either expand that number, or allow the selection of folders within item types to break them into smaller chunks.

Yes!  With thousands of items the trace matrix is effectively useless for our application.  Why not have the same (better) options available in coverage explorer.  It should be possible to select and set of items and generate a trace matrix to any other set of items.  Folder selection would be a great start.

    Hey Steve and Lawrence,

This is good feedback—thank you for leaving it. We're coming close to rolling out a new Traceability View to GA; it's a bit like Coverage Explorer and the Trace Matrix combined, because you will be able to view upstream and downstream relationships as well as relate items from the View itself. I hope it solves most of these pains (you won't be able to relate by set, though, as you suggest, Lawrence).
