Quick Filter applied at Search Bar

I think our team would benefit from having some of those more hidden "Filter Items" options raised up to the Search Bar area.
We have many users that use the search bar to search for a phrase and then they apply additional filters in the list view by going to the "Filter Items" option then downselecting to the specific item type they care about.
It would speed things up greatly if at the search bar, you could select specific item types to search specifically. It currently searches the entire project by default, but adding item types to the dropdown would be a great feature. Additional settings to allow users to adjust the filter options available there would bring it to Grade A+ Feature level.
