Folder-based relationships

When adding a relationship, allow to select at the folder level (and then apply that relationship to all items within the folder).

Use case: Folder created in the verification tests section that is related to a specific requirement (e.g., "Alarm Settings" requirement is related to the "Alarm Settings" folder within the verification tests set).  When tests are created in that folder, the tests automatically inherit the relationship to the requirement the folder is mapped to. The folder relationship isn't displayed or traceable, only the items within the folders.

Thanks.

This would be very useful as some of the requirements have over 500 test cases since we write them to only cover a small item.

I am surprised this has not gained traction.  If someone adds two new items to a folder and fails to add the relationship to two other needed items (2x2 = 4 individual relationships to create), the integrity of the entire system and 'coverage' analysis is impacted.  This can all be avoided with a special folder type that permits realtionships to that type of folder.

I also think this would be helpful. I have posted some time ago also an idea for Jama to allow relationships to a folder: Add a relationship to a Folder

I also think it would be helpful to be able to add items to a folder and have the relationships to that folder be applied to all items in that folder.
