Filters: Enable "Release" field for embedded filtering

Use Case:
User wants to make a filter that shows all item A that have an upstream relation to item B, where item B has a specific Release value.
For example: Show me all bugs that that have an upstream feature in release version 2.
Problem Statement:
User cannot make the filter described above. The 'release' field is not a value that can be filtered on in an embedded filter.

Hi @Tom,
We no longer respond directly to each feature request unless our Product team has specific questions as they work on a functional area, so that's why we've been silent - it isn't something being currently developed. As to why this is not something that has been prioritized, I surmise that because an easy-enough workaround does exist (using keywords as Tigger mentions below), the need for this ability doesn't come up often.0 -
Thanks for the update, Kristina. While disappointing, the message is clear.Tom Green

For those interested, our use case will be satisfied by adding a roll-up field to the upper-level item (requirement) that sums the values of the downstream items (verifications). In doing so, it's not necessary to use embedded filtering.Tom Green
