HTML code in test cases

We use JAMA for writing test scripts, but another software for approval. My JAMA trainer created a word doc export that includes all of the test steps so that I can export entire folders for approval. However, if we use the pencil edit next to the steps, it keeps adding things like <p> into the Expected Results. One of the approvers is very upset about that, so I'm having to remove them from very large documents manually. I have to use the pencil in order to insert carriage returns, so then I have to re-edit using the Edit function at the top of the test case to remove the HTML code. Is there any way around this?

Cynthia,
I would recommend toggling rich text for test case steps, which can be done by following this guide: http://help.jamasoftware.com/index.html?enable_rich_text_in_test_steps.htm0 -
Unfortunately, we had already had that set, and are still seeing the HTML code in the custom export that our Jama trainer gave us.0

The attached VBA macro will render most of that HTML into formatted text.
