Export fields on demand

  • 1.  Export fields on demand

I have a template that includes several field template definitions (see template fields below). However, when I export, it doesn't matter what I have selected for display in list or reading view -- my output always matches exactly what is shown in the template (e.g. if I set up list view to show my stakeholder requirement item type, and I include fields like "Priority" and "Risk", they show up in reading and list views, but when I export, the document only shows name, document key, and description.

Is there any way to fix this? I am pretty sure there was a time when export included any fields that were displaying in list view.

    «TemplateStart:DEFAULTTEMPLATE»
    «TableStart:HEADING»
    «name» («documentKey»)
    «TableEnd:HEADING»
    «description»
    «TemplateEnd:DEFAULTTEMPLATE»
    «TemplateStart:SET»
    «TableStart:HEADING»
    «name»
    «TableEnd:HEADING»
    «description»
    «TemplateEnd:SET»
    «TemplateStart:FLD»
    «TableStart:HEADING»
    «name»
    «TableEnd:HEADING»
    «description»
    «TemplateEnd:FLD»
    «TemplateStart:CMP»
    «TableStart:HEADING»
    «name»
    «TableEnd:HEADING»
    «description»
    «TemplateEnd:CMP»
    «TemplateStart:TXT»
    «TableStart:HEADING»
    «name»
    «TableEnd:HEADING»
    «description»
    «TemplateEnd:TXT»
    «TemplateStart:STK»
    «TableStart:HEADING»
    «name» («documentKey»)
    «TableEnd:HEADING»
    «description»
    Rationale:«rationale»
    «TemplateEnd:STK»

    Hi Spencer,
Could you please confirm if you are adding the fields to be visible in the list view of Jama and not only through the Admin > Item types > Views method?

    Hi Spencer,
Is it possible for you to attach your report? I would like to look at it in Word. Thank you.

    Hi Spencer,
I found that when I toggled the field codes in your template some (quite a bit) were not correct, as an example when I toggled

«TemplateStart:SET» it was actually {MERGEFIELD TemplateStart:FLD\* MERGEFORMAT}. Could you try the attached doc and see if you have better results? Thank you.

I see what you're talking about. I tried your file, and it still doesn't seem to affect the output.
