Lawrence:
Thank you for checking in, I have to say that the capabilities with configuring Microsoft Office items are pretty much the same. Your best bet is to utilize
Velocity or BIRT reporting. Velocity gives you the most flexibility in formatting.

Subject: Exporting items to a table in Word
Hi, I know this is a topic that has been discussed quite a bit but the main posts I am seeing date back to 2015. Like this one:
https://community.jamasoftware.com/blogs/kristina-king/2017/09/29/how-to-add-tables-to-word-templates
I am wondering if any new workarounds have been figured out. In my mind, the issue with the two main technique are:
Issues with the CHILDREN merge field:
- The children items are displayed in order of document id, not the order they were placed in the Explorer view.
- It does not respect any filters that may been applied to the item list.
Issues with exporting each item to a single row table:
- You have to manually delete the spaces between each row/table to merge them into a single table. OR..
- Using a VB macro to merge the rows together into a single table can have other unintended consequences depending on other content included in the export.
