issues with the rich text editor using Chrome and Edge Browsers
We have been encountering issues with the rich text editor using Chrome and Edge Browsers since Autumn last year.
We are using Jama 8.74.1 on premise.
The issues can be reproduced with any items containing at least a "large" screenshot in any rich text fields.
User opens the item in edit mode, tries to add some text in the rich text field. The "Save & Done" as well as "Save" Buttons are remaining disabled, which means the user could not edit the content using the editor any more.
With the development tool from the browser, CKEDITOR was mentioned in such error in Screenshot
Error came as user tried to switch to source code mode
User could also not switch the editor to source code mode.
Once user clicked "Cancel", the item tab was blank.
The issues can not be reproduced in Firefox.
We have submitted ticket to Jama Support, exchanged the HAR Files. But there has been no conclusion or any solutions.
Does anyone face the same situation? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hi Lien,
I understand the concern and desire for a resolution; in looking over the original ticket, I noticed it was closed after some reach-outs re: uploading the support bundle were unsuccessful.
We're absolutely still happy to dig into this with you -- since it's been some time and you're on a different version of Jama Connect since that ticket was filed, submitting a new ticket would be the best way to continue working on this together. Please include a URL to this thread (along with any behaviours that have changed since the original ticket submission) in the ticket description and I'll make sure to connect it to the original ticket once received. As a heads up, we'll likely need HAR files from the current environment as well as a support bundle.

Hi Carly,
thanks for picking up this again.
I have submitted the ticket https://support.jamasoftware.com/hc/en-us/requests/68983
The bundle and HAR files will be uploaded to the ticket by noon time CET.
I'll try, if I could reproduce the same behavior with the cloud sandbox for gira and report the behavior in the ticket.
Thanks,
Lien
