  • 1.  CSV from traceview with weird characters

    Hi,

    I have been using the traceview option to export data from Jama towards a CSV. 
    However, even if the data is inserted correctly in every item in Jama, the CSV(raw file produced from Jama), outputs the following weird characters(see image below). 

    I have already tried changing the encoding in excel by first converting the CSV into a xls file, but I wasnt succesfull.
    Since, the CSV is the raw file, I might be tempted to think that Jama is producing these weird characters...
    Did anyone had a similar issue? If so, how did you solved this?
    Note that my project is in French and we have accents.

    That is because Excel CSVs are not UTF8 or CSV compliant. There are characters, typically single 'quotes' and double "quotes" that are non standard.  You can do a find and replace to fix that in Excel.
