The newly introduced Lookup Matrix for "logical" calculation results seems poised in an ambiguous fashion to almost give useful support to matrices which can provide values.
Pick Lists (Standard) may contain more than 10 items.
Pick Lists (Lookup Matrix) may only contain 10 items. (See attachments).
There are several aspects of this help that are troublesome:
- Not mentioning the 10 pick list item limit (lookup matrix)
- Particularly as standard pick lists can exceed this
- Identifying the third pick list as "calculation results" (logic based or otherwise) setting the user up to think they have the ability to provide X times Y unique results
- Showing an example that appears to have 15 "calculation results" (until you examine closely and realize there are actually only 4 results (acceptable green, acceptable yellow, unacceptable orange, unacceptable red).
It seems the lookup matrix feature introduced this June is an ALMOST useful feature. Perhaps JAMA can try making some improvements either in the feature (preferred) or in the Help (to at least save the JAMA users time + effort).
