  • 1.  Trouble adding links in Jama

    Hi,

I am trying to add a url in the steps field on a Software Unit test case.  I paste the url in the action field, and right click to select the Edit Link option.  I can change the test to display.  According to Create a link in Jama I have to save the item, and the link should work.  When I save, it just displays the url (which is clickable).

Has anyone else run into this problem, or have any idea what the problem could be?

    Thanks,

    Hi Martha,

Quick question -- what browser are you using when this is occurring?

Thanks! If you create the URL by going to the Link icon in the toolbar first then, in the Enter URL or Choose Item screen, add the URL and link text to the appropriate fields then click Select, what happens?

    Hi Martha,

I wanted to follow up here for visibility, in case anyone runs into the same thing. I believe the issue you're bumping up against is because Steps doesn't use Rich Text fields -- you can absolutely still add hyperlinks there, but they wouldn't be named using link text in the way that ones in a Rich Text field (like Description) would be.
