Thank you for flagging this -- I've escalated this issue to our platform partner's engineering team, and will follow up here as soon as I have an update.
To follow up here, we've had a workaround put in place to allow users to access new messages in inboxes, profiles and My Communities while our platform partner fixes the root cause of the issue -- as a result, these areas should be accessible by all users now. If you are still experiencing issues with this, please clear your cache and cookies then try again.
