With the advent of the newer Linux OS's mysql is no longer a supported package.

Do you guys support Mariadb or Postgres?

Hi Robert! Matthew gave you some details in the ticket you submitted, so I'll make it brief here: we're exploring supported database options for our next release (2016.1), and I'll update this thread when we come to a conclusion. Thanks for bringing this up! Can you let me know what Linux OS you plan to use/are using?

Robert: MariaDB is functionally equivalent to MySQL and should work fine.

We actually use Percona (a different MySQL variant) in our hosted environment.  We don't test on MariaDB but in the unlikely event you were to encounter any issues we would certainly help you fix them.  We don't take advantage of any features that are not supported by all three (MySQL, MariaDB, and Percona).

    We don't support Postgres.

Is percona recommended to be used with innoDB or with XtraDB storage engine?
