Add new step adds where you are

If I am editing a test case and need to add a step in the middle, the step is added to the bottom. I must use the up arrows, changing rows each time, to get the step where I want. Would be very helpful if I could be in a test step in the middle, and clicking Add new step would add it immediately below where I am.

Hi Cynthia,
we were face with the same problem and the only solution (as far as I know) is the following workaround:
1. show the desired testcase in a list-view and be sure that the teststeps are shown
2. export to excel (with "Excel Export for Roundtrip")
3. in the excel, you can now add the steps you want at the desired position/move steps, delete multiple steps etc
4. import the testcases back to the old place with the roundtrip importThis can be a bit tricky as you have to select the correct mapping-settings but it's no rocket sience
Let me know if this helped!0 -
Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't do the round trip with Excel as that seems like more work to me.0
