I still don’t seem to be able to create any folder structure for existing baselines or any defaults for where Review Baselines are automatically placed.
IS this something a Creator User should be able to do?

Haze, that's a great question, and I'm not sure I've ever been asked that. But to answer it, no, this isn't something a Creator can do in Jama. There actually isn't a functionality to arrange or nest Baseline folders for any user (admin or otherwise).0

Thanks Kristina, My end user want to know if there is any plan to address this type of feature?0

Haze, I just checked with my Product team and this type of feature is not on the current roadmap. However, we do plan on looking into baseline improvements in the future.0

I would be very keen for baseline management features to be included. Currently I have the baselines I created plus the additional baselines created automatically from requirement reviews.
It would be nice to be able to sort these into groups as well as archive baselines.0 -
I understand what you mean, Chris—as it is now, the Baseline view can get unruly. I'm going to change this post from a Question to an Idea so that we can properly prioritize it.0

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Jama: Baseline folder arrangement.
Currently when creating baseline using filter, Jama creates Folder and places baseline inside that folder. The folder name is based on Filter name. User has control over baseline name and description. What we want need is: In a sprint, there will be many baseline for different sets of requirements i.e. different sets of filter. So We want to create a folder and put all filter baselines inside it. Doing this way would allow us to organize baselines in better way. Is there a way to do this? via Admin configuration?0 -
The ability to manage the Baselines "directory structure" is something that I'd also very much like to see. As I understand it, every time a new Review is created, a new Baseline is also automatically created. Thus, the list of Baselines gets very long very quickly. The real impact of this becomes apparent when trying to generate Reports that involve Baselines - 'Baseline Compared to Current' or 'Baseline Comparison' reports. Trying to find the Baseline(s) that I want to use for these reports is exactly that - trying!
Pleeeeeease help,

Thanks for the clear example of why this is a pain, Ian. I know we're working on improving baselining, but I don't know if that extends to organization/categorization. I've linked this conversation to our internal tracking of that project, so this can be kept in mind.0

In general I like the baseline feature very much, but ... we often run into the same problem. If a review isn't tagged or named, we had lots of automatically generated "individual items" baselines in the list.
And if you want to make a comparision of baselines which 2 do you want to pick from the long list?0 -
Yeah, Thomas, it isn't easy. Point taken! Thanks for bringing that up.0

Has there been any update on this feature?
If my organization was able to create a folder structure that mirrored the main project structure (with the auto-generated folders being "drag"-able, the Baseline feature would get used all the time. Unfortunately, we don't use it as we should/could due to the lack of organization leading to difficulties managing.
We have roughly 50-80 sets within the project.

Hi Ian,
There has not been any change to managing baselines, nor have I seen anything on the roadmap.0 -
Thank you for the response. Please let user know if that changes. It is the closest feature to Agile Revisions Jama has (or so I have found)Ian

Subject: Baseline foldersI was also surprised, after Jama was update to latest version,
that we still cannot organize our more than 100 Basline-Folders.And the folders are mixed up, so we cannot find baselines again.
Thanks in advance and best regards,

Hello everyone,
My name is Julie Goodner, I'm one of the product managers here at Jama. I wanted to provide an update that baselines are starting to be addressed. Here is a list that has been completed so far;- Ability to restore a deleted baseline from the project activity stream
- Added baseline IDs, these are links to baselines currently from the project activity stream
- Added links to baselines and reviews in the single item view's version widget
- Added an 'Undo' option in the delete baseline success message

With the Spring 8.49 release users with administrator permissions can do the following;
- Create folders in the baseline tree
- Create folders in folders
- Move a baseline source with its baselines into a folder or any place in the tree via drag and drop
- Rename the baseline source
