Can approvals in Jama be made mandatory?

We realized that a review in Jama can be closed with missing approvals. This makes the approval process kind of useless since there might no approvals at all for an artifact.

Can approvals in Jama be made mandatory?

I assume by mandatory, you mean that the moderator cannot close the review unless all approvers have approved?
If so the moderator could just remove those approvers before closing the review.
For many customers for whom the approval process is under moderator control, not approver control, this wouldn't produce any improvement in the review process (would just require that the moderator remove approvers, which would obscure who the requested set of approvers were for the review).
But I agree that this would help prevent moderator error for approval processes where the moderator shouldn't close the review unless all approvers have in fact approved.

    Hello Eva,

While you cannot make approvals mandatory, you can require signatures which you can't do until all items are approved.

Note, this doesn't stop a Moderator from just closing the review whenever they want.

    Hi Geoffrey,
Your assumption is correct, as long as approvals are pending the review is not complete. For sure, removing approvers should not be the preferred option since the initial set
    of approvers is changed.
Are there plans to add an option to the review/approval process that closing a review is only possible when the approvals are complete?

    Hi Amanda,
It's my understanding that if a reviewer is also an approver, a signature is anyhow needed.
