Dear Jama Connect Interchange Customers,

Greetings from the Product Team at Jama Software! We wanted to let you know we will be releasing a patch (1.4.1) for Jama Connect Interchange™. This patch accommodates recent updates to the Atlassian Jira Cloud REST API.

  • JCI will perform an update on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 2:00pm – 4:00pm PST (11:00pm – 1:00am CET).
  • During the update, integrations will be paused for a few minutes. Any pending syncs will resume automatically after the update is complete.
  • Though this patch specifically targets Jira Cloud integrations, all Interchange cloud customers, including Excel Functions and Jira Data Center customers, will receive the patch.

The updates from Atlassian impact how the Parent and Epic Link fields in Jira Cloud are synced. While none of our Interchange cloud customers currently include these fields in their integration field mappings, we are releasing this patch so you won't experience any issues if you add them in the future.

  • For company-managed Jira Cloud projects – with the 1.4.1 patch, the Epic Link field has been removed from the list of available field mappings and replaced with the Parent field. When this patch is released, any existing Epic Link field mappings will be automatically converted to Parent field mappings.
  • For team-managed Jira Cloud projects – with the 1.4.1 patch, continue to use the Parent field to map Epic IDs as you did in 1.4.0.
