Not possible to insert html tags to the fields

Hello,
More than one week back I reported the issue that users are not able to include html tags e.g. to the test steps.
When they start edit existing text and enter "<" the previous content disappears, or "<" appears but next pressed key deletes the content, or other strange behavior. Also, when a Test Cases is created and html tags are inserted in the Test Step (new creation is the only case when tags can be added) they are not presented in the Test Step when saved.
This behavior is reproducible in Chrome and FF with Cloud 8.82 version.
I haven't received any reasonable answer except
> We'll perform some tests on our side following the video demonstrations you kindly provided and try to replicate behavior. We'll update the ticket once we have further results and discussed issue internally.
End this response was even after my escalation.
Does any other customer face same issue?
Can Jama officially comment on this issue (support ticket reference is #68917).

After more than one week. Jama admit that
> The behavior you are reporting may be a defect related to Test Case - Using the < sign at the beginning or middle of a word will delete all of the words that follow within that same cell. At the moment, there is no workaround for this issue. Now that we have reported and logged this behavior, our Defect Triage Team will review and verify if this is a defect or expected behavior.
> The suspected defect has been filed in our internal defect tracking system and you have the defect ID for reference, SOS-DEF-6817. I will mark this ticket as On-Hold. Once we here back from our Support team, we will inform you by replying to this ticket.
Suggested workaround is to switch the test step format to RTF. Nevertheless, I'm afraid to do that as I do not know if it can have a side effect on the already included html tags interpretation or after when it is switched off it steps will revert to plain text or there will still reaming any RTF tags.
Do you have any experience with this?
