Is there a way to import test steps from excel document within test steps
Is there a way to import test steps from excel document within test steps such that each of the test step is added as a new action item within test steps. See screenshot below:
IN the screenshot above within the action column, there are 2 test steps however JAMA is importing it within one step from execl file. How can I format my excel file so that all my test steps are imported in an order? Snapshot of excel file is below:

Hey Syed,
Duplicate row 1, so now your row 2 is the same as row 1 (Both rows shall have the exact same "Name" fields)
Row 1 Action field has Action 1 & Expected Result field has Expected Result 1Row 2 Action field has Action 2 & Expected Result field has Expected Result 2
Import this file with the right column to field mapping and it shall add two separate steps

This is how an excel file should look like:
When importing, select the respective field mapping:
The Test Cases are created accordingly:

Thanks for replying, I was able to follow your steps and figure it out. How about importing a word document? I think there might be a bug with importing a word document to JAMA, hence why I had to transfer my test protocol to Excel and then import it.

For imports, Excel is always easier and gives better control than importing from Word. From my POV, Word imports should only be used if you have basic items with Name and Description. I wouldn't know how to import test cases with test steps from Word. Maybe using a similar approach as for Excel: put everything in as tables, whereas each table row is an individual item with multiple rows per item for the test steps. Select the following table import style then (I have not tested it myself):
But even in the official help section, there is only a description for a test case import from Excel:
Preparing a worksheet to import test cases (jamasoftware.com)
The section which describes imports from Word is much smaller overall:
Importing items from a Word file (jamasoftware.com)

I would like to piggy back on this discussion a bit. Is it possible to import a table into a text field. like initial conditions, from Excel?

Hi David,
To clarify, are you asking if you can import a worksheet from Excel into a single text field in Jama Connect?
