ReqIF Import in Doors doesn't import Jama field "name"

Hi guys,

A vendor of ours wants to import requirements using a ReqIF file.

They are using Doors 9.6 so I exported a ReqIF file using Jama Data Exchange.

I selected all available fields for export (except version) and created the file.

Unfortunately, the name field is not imported into the Doors module.

All other fields work fine (see the attached image). I also imported the ReqIF file back into a new Jama project and everything is imported and displayed.

How do we need to import the ReqIF file into Doors to get the "Name" field as well?

Best wishes,

Max

    Hi Max,

As it sounds like both Jama Connect and Data Exchange are behaving correctly, our recommendation here would be to have the DOORS user reach out to IBM for further support.

alternatively, as a workaround: could you map the name field to a different value in the reqif export mapping file? Something simple like: "_name" should allow it to show up as a random element within DOORs. That will help you trouble shoot at what stage the name field is disappearing.

Also, the reqIF file is an xml file you can view directly, so I would recommend checking that any 'name' attribute is there, first.
