Is there any way to block/forbid the download option ?
Dear whom it will concern:
Due to our company's policy, as an organization admin., I need to forbid all the JAMA users to export and download the documents even though they may be the editors or creators.
I want to allow the users to view, review and edit the documents through JAMA only.
Is there any way to block/forbid the export or download option ?
Thanks.

Hi there,
One suggestion here would be to restrict the data access to a specific user group (which sounds like everyone but those who would be adding documents?) when installing the report (From Add/Edit Report, set the Data Access option to Limit data availability based on user permissions and set Restrict to Group to the created user group that contains those who shouldn't be downloading/exporting that report).

Thanks for the reply.
The problem is that the suggested solution suffers from the low efficiency. We need to configure all the report template each by each. Furthermore, any newly-added template will also need to be configured. If the configure is modified, then every template needs to be reconfigured...
My idea is to add a new permission option termed "Export". Thus, organ admin can specify groups or users with three different permissions, i.e. read, write and export. Groups or users will not see the export button appeared on the view page if they don't have the "Export" permission for the viewing item or set.

Sure thing, and the desire to have a more bulk functionality is understandable. We're always open to looking at feature enhancement suggestions, and I'd encourage you to visit our Ideation module, which is a valuable space specifically designed to facilitate conversations around the continual evolution of Jama Connect. You can use the search functionality to see if your idea has been submitted by another user(s); if it is, then you can vote and comment on the card and, if it isn't, please post a new idea card there.
