I'm not sure if that's what Alessandro sees, but when I try to read the unread messages of my profile inbox, I get
Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred.
We have logged this issue. If the problem persists, please contact us and provide the following error log key: 75fb7941-69d8-420a-9bd3-018bf0beb3c5I appear to have 4 unread messages, of which I haven't gotten any other notification (e.g. by email) so far. There is also no notification bubble on my profile icon, I have to actively open the profile dropdown.

To follow up here, we've had a workaround put in place to allow users to access new messages in inboxes, profiles and My Communities while our platform partner fixes the root cause of the issue -- as a result, these areas should be accessible by all users now. If you are still experiencing issues with this, please clear your cache and cookies then try again.
