Quality of life fixes: Quick "Reuse" and test steps mass copy/paste
95% of the time when we reuse a single item in JAMA we want a slight variant of the existing one to go into the same folder with the same details which we then edit to be whatever variant. Like when you copy/paste a file in Windows Explorer you get a "Copy of X". Perhaps there would be a dialog to choose which options the quick option does. Trouble with this in the existing Reuse dialog is you have to manually select the same folder which in our project hierarchy is 4 or 5 clicks.
Sometimes we have 4 tr 5 variations of the same test case and this would make doing that much easier.
The other thing is also for editing of similar items: please can I select some number of whole test steps from another window and paste them into a test case I'm editing and have it just work. Currently you end up with an embedded table mess and have to copy each entry in the table one by one.

You can duplicate in place by right-clicking the item and selecting Duplicate, but it only brings name, description, and test steps if they apply. So for a simple scenario it could be useful.

You can use "break sync" to disconnect two items, so when you say "impossible to clean up", do you mean "possible, but painful to clean up"?

More like "incredibly painful" since items are now locked by workflows and it's incredibly difficult to find items in sync to begin with, and when there's hundreds or more, going one by one is just not feasible.

I have to - sadly - confirm what Lita is saying. It is a pain to just create a duplicate item in the same location. Duplicate item is only copying name, description (and steps, if any). The reuse has the sync as default, that creates even more issues, as the users often forget to disable.
I desperately need to customize the way users create a copy of an item with a few fields to be changed (due to variant management). The best would be to be able to set per project the default way of duplicating an item (a kind of reuse rule). This default should be simply available by right mouse click.

I have setup a handful of advanced rules for reuse that allow selecting specific fields and even adding relationships, but even with the internal documentation I added, videos, and regular open office hours I hold for our users, many still are not aware of this option, and often leave the default reuse settings, which include sync. It would be fantastic to customize our default environment reuse settings, but at the very least, if the sync was unchecked by default it would help avoid so many problems.
