Support feature request: Notify submitter for bug resolution

Hello,

I would like to recommend the following support feature:

If a user reports a bug which becomes confirmed, they get automatically an email of resolution whenever that is performed. 

 

It is very tough for us to maintain a list of bugs and their status and check the bugs from each point release. It should be straightforward to implement and would save us a huge amount of time.
