Integration For All Projects

We typically create integrations that are applicable for all or a large set of our projects. Anyone define a automated or easier solution for duplicating integrations without having to manually create them in the GUI for each one.

Hi Jason,  I don't think there is a method to automate the creation of an integration, but you can copy an existing integration in JCI so that you do not have to recreate the field mappings individually:  https://help.jamainterchange.com/en/common-tasks--all-integrations-/copy-an-integration.html

    Hi Patrick,

I tried using the Copy Integration option for the first time and run into a problem/error.  After I copy an existing integration, change the copy to point to the applicable project (different that the source), edit the Field Mapping to point to the applicable container in the project, and click Save Mappings I get a message stating "Jama set is not in selected project".

I've tried using two different source integrations to create the copy and get that same error after clicking Save Mappings.  I can delete the copy and manually create a new integration pointing to this target project/set without an issue.

I have not tried toggling on the copied integration to see if it runs.

    We are running JCI on-premise, v 1.9.1

    Hi all,

Thanks for reporting this issue with the copy functionality. This is a known issue that will be fixed in our March release, version 1.10. The issue number, for reference, is CON-40759. Release 1.10 will be available to both our cloud and self-hosted customers.

In the meantime, your best option is to create the new integration manually, and not use the copy function. Please let us know if you have any questions about this!

Regarding Jason's broader question about applying the same integration to multiple projects - I'm pleased to share that later this spring, we will be releasing a feature for Excel Functions that does just that. You will be able to assign multiple Jama projects to the same JCI integration, thereby streamlining your setup.
