Jama Connect Interchange™ Release Notes, Version 1.0.3
Release Date: 2022/02/24
What’s New
Jama Connect Interchange version 1.0.3 includes the following enhancements:
New Requirement to Use a Service Account for Connector Authentication
With v.1.0.3, each connector in Jama Connect Interchange must now use a dedicated service account, and not a regular admin or user account. If you use a regular account, some changes might not be detected by the integration service.
This requirement applies to both Jama Connect connectors and Jira Cloud connectors.
For instructions on setting up your connectors using a service account, see the Link to your Jama Connect instance and Link to your Jira Cloud instance sections in the Jama Connect Interchange Admin Guide.
Optimized Jama Connect-to-Jira Cloud Sync
This release includes substantial changes to the way items are synced between Jama Connect and Jira Cloud, including:
- Faster sync times.
- Synced comments now include the name of the user who made the original comment in the other system.
- The Action tags in comments (for example, !question) are now displayed more intuitively when synced.
- For bidirectional syncs, the integration now takes the latest version of each field, rather than overwriting the entire item. For example, if one person updates the Name field in Jama Connect, and another person updates the Description field for the same item in Jira Cloud, when the sync occurs, those two updates are merged.
URL Field Support
You can now automatically populate a field with the URL of the linked item in the other system. For example, you can automatically populate a field in the Jama Connect item with the linked Jira Cloud URL and vice versa. For more information, see the System and generated fields section in the Jama Connect Interchange Admin Guide.
