No e-mail digests anymore and Notification Preferences (e-mail) in Community Profile not saved

Hi

Until 2024-03-07 I received two daily e-mail digests ("Support" and "Release Notes and Announcements").

After this day, no digests were sent by Jama anymore. I was wondering, if there is a new way of subscribing to topics? Unfortunately, I did not receive any information that the digest e-mails were shut down resp. this way of subscription did not work anymore. The service just stopped without warning.

Anyhow …

I found a way to "follow" categories in the community section and even articles and comments in Jama support area.

But it does not work to activate e-mail notifications as a preference. I can check the boxes in my profile settings, but … the checkmarks for e-mail are resetted each time I re-open the setting.

At Jama Support (https://support.jamasoftware.com/) I cannot even find a possibility to subscribe by e-mail. I do only get a list of subscribed articles/comments in my profile → activities → following.

Anybody here who can resolve the confusion and has a solution how to stay informed by e-mail about support requests, announcements and release notes? I feel lost …

Best regards

Sandra

Hello, Sandra, Iwan, and others who are experiencing this behavior.

This feedback has been submitted as a Product Idea for the community platform.

"Please create an option for users to update notification settings for each Group, similar to the options for Categories. Having just general global Group notification settings creates a lot of noise, as there are some groups for which our Community would like notifications. At the same time, other groups don't require notifications."

    Hello Amanda

    And thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, I do not get how this might help me in receiving e-mail notifications.

And what about the notifications for Release Notes and Announcements? Is there a way to subscribe to those by e-mail anymore at all?

I would appreciate any help on this, so I can stay on track with new features, bugfixes, announcements, feature request, questions and much more.

    Thank you.

    Hello Sandra,

Product Release Notes are located on the knowledge base. You can follow articles and sections, which will provide notifications. You can also access these through Federated Search from Community.

We plan to continually improve the digital experience and community, so please stay tuned.

    Thanks Amanda.

I am already following all articles and comments in the knowledge base that are of interest for our installation. Actually, e-mail notification works for these.

I am looking forward for your enhancements to the digital experience of your community.
