How to duplicate a project with trace links and synced items from other projects

Hello,

I have two questions regarding the duplication of a project for another release. We have projects with links to requirements in other projects. We also have requirements synced from a library project.

  1. With relation to synced items, when we duplicate a project the items synced from a library project are no longer synced. This prevents us from pushing changes from the library project to the newly created duplicated project. How can we push updates from library to the duplicated project?
  2. With relation to the cross project link, if we have requirements linked as follows:
    -Product A ver.1 linked to requirements in Product B ver.1.
    Is there a way to copy these projects so the requirements end up as follows:
    -Product A ver.2 linked to requirements in Product B ver.2.
