JAMA moved all items in set to new set instead of just selected items

There's an error. I have a large SRS document contained in a Set of requirement, comprised of text, folders, and requirements, for a total of about 400 items. I needed to move a number of those to a different folder in a another set, about 60 items. I filtered the set for those items, Jama said I had 60 items selected, it then said I was moving 60 items, but then when the move was completed, all 400 items were moved. There is no undo and on top of that the text, folders, and requirements are all out of order. I have to manually move each item back now. Is there any fix to this situation?

Otherwise this bug needs to fixed in the software. If it says X many items are being moved, it should move X many items.

Look at the "Stream". You might be able to revert the change with a couple mouse clicks

The activity stream will only say the batch of items was moved from a location (which you have to hover over to see quickly) to a new location. There is no "undo" for moves, except for the brief popup that appears for 10 seconds as you make the move. And if your items got out of order, there is no indication of what order they were in prior.

I have encountered this problem before, and one of our users reported the problem with selecting some items and then all of them getting moved as well. Sadly there is no easy way to revert items to their location, especially if they need to be reorganized 😓

Ugh. I feel your pain. I've borked batch moves in the past as well. Luckily it was easy to figure out which ones — and I batch moved them back by hand.

I've reached out to Tech Support to see if there's anything they can do at their end. I'll update here once I hear back.

Adding an update: I was informed that this has now been identified as a defect and once there is a resolution, will be fixed in a future release.
