Is there a way to update field from a trace view

I am new to Jama; I have links form Requirements → Verifications. I want to update requirement compliance status based on the verification status. Both these are data fields at respective items. I am looking for options to directly edit the field from trace view but unable to. Is there a work around to do this in Jama?

    I'm not sure if the following steps work for you, but in the Trace View perform the following. I'm using Chrome for my instance of Jama (cloud based).

    1. Right-click on item that has field you want to edit
    2. Select open link in new tab or open link in new window.
    3. The single item view of item will appear.
    4. Proceed to edit item and respective field.
