Jama Software is aware of Microsoft Exchange's upcoming retirement of using Basic authentication for SMTP affecting our self hosted customers.
This will be handled similar to Microsoft Exchange's retirement of Basic authentication for IMAP in Dec of 2022.
The update will be included in the upcoming spring release currently targeted for 9.22, and applied as a patch to other supported releases (9.6.x, 9.17.x).
Recently, Microsoft announced that Exchange Online will permanently remove support for Basic authentication with Client Submission (SMTP AUTH) in September 2025.
