As much as possible, look for opportunities to align process variations by identifying project and team-specific configuration needs that vary from the standard process. These specific needs can often be accommodated through further standardization of the process or the use of existing configurations.The Jama Connect® configuration is typically revisited after initial data entry and as lessons are learned over time. Consider a Configuration Change Control process whereby configuration needs are requested/captured and reviewed by a "configuration change board." This group can determine the appropriate approach for handling the requests in Jama Connect®. Managing change requests allows you to organize requests and determine if a request might better be handled through process alignment across teams, using existing configuration, or user training.
